Downtown LA does offer a vibrant city experience, but I’m an honest travel blogger who wants to show both sides.
So one downside of staying in DTLA is that it can be quite noisy and crowded, which may not suit those looking for a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere.
There are also a lot of homeless people in DTLA, especially on Skid Row, which can be a challenge for some visitors. In general, I would avoid Skid Row when visiting LA.
